Basics

Two versions of the same text. Which one is better? Which one changed, and exactly where?

What it does. The Text Comparator analyzes two texts simultaneously and precisely identifies their differences and similarities. Modified passages are highlighted in red in the original text and in green in the second text, allowing instant comparative reading, word by word and sentence by sentence.

How to use it? Paste your first text into the box on the left, your second text into the box on the right, then click “Compare.” The two texts are broken down and displayed side by side in the lower section. Differences are highlighted automatically : in red, what disappeared or changed in the text on the left; in green, what appeared or was modified in the text on the right. Identical passages remain unhighlighted for smooth reading.

Ideal for

  • Checking the changes made between two versions of a document before approving the final version
  • Detecting suspicious similarities between two texts to avoid duplicates or unintentional plagiarism
  • Comparing an original text with its reworded or translated version to ensure that the meaning has been preserved
